Former route of the Fife Coast Railway

Wild flowers
This display of wild flowers was beside the drainage channel for the new housing development of Windmill Gardens, St Monans.
Wildflower meadows like this are becoming increasingly uncommon which is leading to the decline in populations of many insect species with a corresponding decrease in those species which relay on insects for survival.

Former railway bridge, St Monan's, Fife

The bridge carried the East of Fife Railway over a footpath and the Inverie Burn. The railway closed to passengers in 1965 and goods traffic in 1966.
