Princess Charlotte's Memorial
On the summit of the amphitheatre is a memorial to Princess Charlotte, the wife of Prince Leopold and 2nd in line heir to the throne as she was the only legitimate grandchild of King George III. The memorial reads " My charlotte is gone" Prince Leopold. Princess Charlotte died aged 21 after the still birth of her child. The mausoleum was demolished in 1922 to make way for a housing development, which was later abandoned.
