This 3 acre grass amphitheatre dates from c.1725 to a design of Charles Bridgeman (later Royal Gardener and designer of the Round Pond in Kensington Gardens). They form a centrepiece of the early 18th century Claremont Landscape Garden, now owned by the National Trust.
