The lake in Claremont Park used to be circular and in its centre stood an obelisk which sported three statues representing the Duke of Newcastle's coat of arms. At the base being a bear and a boar and a peacock on the summit. The obelisk has long since been dismantled but the three statues have been relocated around the park. This is the peacock.
