Traffic calming on Tarradale Terrace
At the edge of the urban 30mph speed limit, this road narrowing with priority to traffic leaving the town is presumably intended to slow down traffic coming into town.

Castle Hill, Muir of Ord
A residential cul-de-sac just off Tarradale Terrace. The road takes its name from a nearby henge-type earthwork which is now incorporated into a green on Muir of Ord golf course. The narrow road and lack of pavement suggests these houses were built in an age when private car ownership was rare.

Tarradale Terrace
The A862 and before the Kessock Bridge it was the A9. An early poster for the utterly pointless 2017 General Election is up.

Arrival of the Kyle train at Muir of Ord
A telephoto view from the station platform of a class 158 sprinter taking the turnout onto the main platform. The station is served by trains to Thurso/Wick and, as here, Kyle of Lochalsh (the 08.55 from Inverness, 09.16 at Muir of Ord). Although the station has two tracks to allow trains to pass, and the western one is provided with a platform and shelter, scheduled passenger services in both directions generally call at this eastern platform.
