A telephoto view from the station platform of a class 158 sprinter taking the turnout onto the main platform. The station is served by trains to Thurso/Wick and, as here, Kyle of Lochalsh (the 08.55 from Inverness, 09.16 at Muir of Ord). Although the station has two tracks to allow trains to pass, and the western one is provided with a platform and shelter, scheduled passenger services in both directions generally call at this eastern platform.
