Wheelie Bins
Serried ranks of the wheelie bins with which Moray Council, in its infinite wisdom, has seen fit to disfigure those parts of Moray where its predecessors have neglected to provide adequate storage for the garishly coloured invaders.

Rose Garden
The Rose Garden of the Convent of Mercy is open to the public during the summer. It is laid out with pergolas in the shape of a St Andrew's Cross. This is the north-eastern pergola seen from the crossing. The garden isn't yet at its best, because it is too early for the roses to be in flower.

Graveyard at the Convent of Mercy
Each departed Sister is commemorated by a simple cross bearing just her religious name and the date. The larger white cross commemorates two Canons associated with the convent, George Wilson (1832-1916) and James Slorach (1870-1943).

Both the chapel and the convent are Category A Listed Buildings.

The Croft, Institution Road
An eye-catching display of rhododendrons adorns the garden of the spectacularly misnamed 'The Croft'. This is a Victorian stone villa in a leafy street in a pleasant part of a prosperous small town, so it has nothing in common with the average croft house. It offers bed and breakfast accommodation. Pity about the parked cars spoiling the view, but Elgin's parking problems continue to escalate and threaten to engulf even residential streets like this one.
