Bramford Station (remains)
View eastwards across ex-GER Ipswich (right) - Norwich (left) main line. This station was closed 2/5/55, but seems remarkably well preserved eight years later - probably privately occupied.

Bramford Lock
The Ipswich and Stowmarket Navigation linked the two towns on the River Gipping in 1798, but was closed in 1929. Most of the 15 locks can still be seen; this one at Bramford is still in relatively good condition.

Before Electrification Bramford
The Norwich to London Liverpool Street Railway line at Bramford as seen from the picnic area by the River Gipping on a warm May afternoon.This was before the line to Norwich was electrified and the overhead wires and masts spoilt the view of the trains.Work on the electrification has been taken place and if one looks closely the base for the overhead masts can be seen by the locomotive.
