Brambly patch on Ripponden FP64
Here a short stretch of the path tends to be covered by bramble stems. It is clear now, and needs people to walk it to keep it clear. The path goes up via a green lane to cross FP62 and meet FP65 (Moor Bottom Road).

Ripponden FP64 approaching Carr Laithe from the north
At the far corner of the house the path appears to be blocked by brambles; however these have now been cut back.

Ripponden FP64 at Carr Laithe
The spelling was 'Lathe' on the 1850 map. FP64 joins FP63 here, turning to the right. FP63 also continues to the left, going down the driveway to Hanging Stones Lane.

Ripponden FP63 approaching Carr Laithe from the south
The stile in the foreground seems somewhat redundant. At the gate FP63 goes to the left and FP64 to the right, although it is not obvious.

Stile into field off Ripponden FP64
This is not on a public footpath. Ripponden FP62 goes across the top of the field next to the wall.

Alien Invader
The Ryburn valley seems to have been taken over by a pretty, but pernicious weed - the Himalayan Balsam, which spreads easily along waterways. The area is also home to rhododendron, which is another horrible weed.

I think that this was the original access track to Carr Laithe.
