Former Drill Hall in Prescott Street #2
The former drill hall is in Prescott Street, between Clare Street and Union Street South. It was built between 1868-70 and remained in use until 1998. The building is Grade II listed http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-472967-ta-drill-hall-halifax , and it has now been restored and converted into 27 apartments. 'Friends' Meeting House' plaque
This old plaque is set in the wall outside the Friends' Meeting House in Clare Road. The dates of 1743 and 1990 on either side of the plaque have been added more recently, presumably in 1990. In July 2011 the building is/was up for sale.
