Flanesford Priory and Priory Farm from Goodrich Castle keep
A view across to the former Flanesford Priory and the farm which now incorporates it. Flanesford Priory was founded by Sir Richard Talbot of nearby Goodrich Castle in 1346 and dedicated to St John the Baptist. It was a small house of canons-regular of St Augustine. Only the refectory and some associated buildings remain, and the whole is incorporated in Priory Farm. There is a good view of the fine frontage of this priory from the B4229 which passes by it just before Kerne Bridge over the Wye (if travelling eastwards). See Image] for example. This view of it however is from the top of the C12th keep of Goodrich Castle (see Image] et al) The priory is EH Grade I listed: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1157248

Happy couple at Flanesford Priory
Spotted on a bike ride. Flanesford Priory - established in 1346, used as farm buildings from 1616 or so and converted in 1980 into holiday accommodation and a high - class wedding venue - is having a wedding fair next weekend, and this is part of the advertising for it. It's very eyecatching!
