Halton Railway ? An informal footpath crosses the track ? looking North
Many people walk their dogs this way, through fields with (on the day I went) sheep in it. However this route is to the east of the stream while the official path is further west.

The tall hedge to the South marks the line of the former Halton Railway. The hedge to the East marks the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal, and the hills beyond are the Chiltern Hills.

Halton Railway ? The Footpath West of the Canal
While the footpath follows the line of a former, comparatively short-lived, railway there is no obvious evidence here of its former use.

The Wendover Arm
If it is ever restored to navigation, the Wendover Arm will make a fine route for boaters passing through the Chiltern Hills.

Wendover Arm: View across the canal towards Aston Hill
