Hampden House
Viewed from the church opposite, this is not the prettiest side of the house. It is named after the Earls of Buckingham, the Hampden family, who have inhaibited the land since before the Norman conquest until 1938. After a spell as a girls' school and then let to Hammer Films, it is now offices and a wedding venue. There is a lot of information here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hampden_House
