Brandstone Dub and Bridge
Brandstone Dub and Bridge, on Brandstone Beck, Sunside, just below the old, long abandoned village of Hardcastle. The term Dub refers to a pool, here deep enough to bathe in, although not very big - may be it was the local washing hole at sometime?

Brandstone Dub Bridge
The Nidderdale Way swings around to cross the Brandstone Beck; the bridge is shown in Image For some reason the stretch of track followed by the Way between Belcher Gate and the bridge isn't a numbered right of way; on the far bank the track follows bridleway 15 9/8/1.
