A wider angle looking north along the packhorse bridge. According to the OS database there is a benchmark cut into the eastern parapet and at the south end of the bridge. Nothing could be found.

Ford at Knox
This ford on the Oak Beck is found at the end of Knox Mill Lane. The Six Dales Trail passes over the Spruisty packhorse bridge at this point.

Spruisty Bridge
17th century listed bridge within the Royal Forest of Knaresborough carried packhorse traffic between Knaresborough and Ripley across Oak Beck before the development of other roads in the 18th century.
Now it caters for pedestrians, including those undertaking the rigours of the Harrogate Ringway long distance footpath.

As the Oak Beck is a parish boundary, the bridge is described twice, at http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-329888-spruisty-bridge-harrogate and http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-331539-spruisty-packhorse-bridge-over-oak-beck- ; the former doesn't seem to consider it C17.
