Gateway from the old market Hall, Moldgreen, Dalton (Huddersfield)
Having passed by many times without noticing it, seeing this was a surprise. It was the coloured coat of arms that caught the eye. The stone on the left records that these were the Victoria Lane gates from the old Market Hall, which was built in 1878 and demolished in 1970. The gates were erected here in 1971, probably because they were 'rescued' by the owners of Shaw's Pickles.

Riverside Path off Silver Street, Moldgreen
A named route along the Rivers Holme and Colne. Here the path is heading into the woods around Kilner Bank to go around some modern factory units before dropping down to the River Colne further north.
