This replaced a Victorian school. It is also used by Kirklees Music Service. A large window from the Victorian school building has been incorporated in its modern replacement.

Old milestone
A view of the Huddersfield TO and FROM stone at Mold Green on the A629. These stones were set up at ½ mile intervals along many roads leading from the centre of Huddersfield to regulate the carriage fares charged. This one was found covered in ivy, most of which was removed.

Old Milestone by the A629, Wakefield Road, Moldgreen, Huddersfield
Carved stone post by the A629, in parish of Huddersfield (Kirklees District), Wakefield Road; Moldgreen, opposite Broad Lane, in a little garden near crossing at traffic lights, on South side of road. Hudds. 'To - From' stone, erected by the Wakefield & Austerlands turnpike trust in the 19th century.
