Bridge Row and Netherton Bank at Cocking Steps, South Crosland
The bridge parapet wall is in the foreground, and the old houses, rather altered from their original appearance, are Bridge Row. The land is Lea Lane and the hillside Netherton Bank.

Netherton Bank is the name of the steep hillside on the left. The houses on the right are modern ones that are part of the redevelopment of Cocking Steps Mill.

Lea Lane at Cocking Steps, South Crosland
Here the lane crosses Cocking Steps Bridge into Honley. The houses are called Bridge Row, and the kneeler at the edge of the gable indicates that they are quite old (18C?).

Cocking Steps Mill, Honley
This building is unusual amongst old mills in being listed. It has been converted into dwellings without losing too much of the original appearance. Stone-faced houses have been built on the adjacent land.
