St Cuthbert's Church Centre, Grimescar Avenue, Birkby, Fartown, Huddersfield
Quoting from the parish website: “St Cuthbert’s Church is a large multi- purpose building, founded in 1926 and completed thirty years later. In recent years it has been re-ordered to provide a modern, flexible building with facilities for worship and community events.
This is a multi-cultural, family church catering for all ages. Styles of worship range from traditional and said services to modern ones with liturgy and music drawn from many sources but with a strong Celtic influence. The combined congregation at two Sunday services averages 75 adults and young people.
St Cuthbert’s is home to a number of Christians whose families are from a Pakistan background. In addition to worshipping at the family Eucharist Fr Emanuel Rahmat leads services in Urdu on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 2pm and at other special occasions in the Church’s year. There is also a Cell group conducted in Urdu.”
