Halifax Old Road, Fartown
At SE141184. This road was built on a new line in 1776-7 by the Halifax and Huddersfield Trust. The name changes to Grimescar Road at the road junction, with Cowcliffe Hill Road, in the middle distance.

Memorial Tower, Fartown Cricket Ground
This memorial tower (a clock tower until the clock was removed because of vandalism) stands at the entrance to the Fartown (formerly St John's), Huddersfield cricket ground. It celebrates The Mighty Triumvirate (Hirst, Rhodes and Haigh) who were among the greatest of all cricketers and who were born in or near the town. This picture was taken on the exact 50th anniversary of the last day of first-class play at the ground (19/8/2005).
