Doorway, St John's Road, Huddersfield
'Wallaces Limited 1897' is inscribed over the door. This was probably the offices and warehouse of Wallaces the grocers, who had several shops in the Huddersfield area, including one at Lockwood shown on an old photograph. In the 1930s there was later a Huddersfield firm of that name who made toffee.

St John's Church, St John's Road, Huddersfield
This was designed by John Butterfield and built for the Trustees of Sir John Ramsden in 1852-3 by Joseph Kaye. It is in the style of c.1300 (from Pevsner's Buildings of England). The tower and spire are impressively tall for a suburban church.
