Church Street / Market Street, Paddock, Marsh (Huddersfield)
This road was called 'Paddock Road' on the 1850 map, but now changes its name at the road junction with Brow Road (on the right). Most of the 19C buildings survive.

From the name, I suspect that this was the original village street of Paddock. Not many old buildings are left.

Mills at Paddock Foot
These are the same mills as photographed by Humphrey Bolton on Millgate but taken from the opposite end. The canal and river are between the photographer and the mills and I estimate that this was taken high up Stoney Battery with the remains of the Batoyle Works on the extreme right. The satellite image still shows the readymix (or similar) vehicles.

Millgate, Paddock Foot, Marsh, Huddersfield
A street of mills alongside the River Colne. On the 1907 map the first tall block was Millgate Mills (Woollen) and beyond it Granville Mill (Woollen). On the left, between Millgate and the river, was Paddock Mills (Woollen).
