Albert Mill, Lockwood
The nearer chimney is on Bath Mill and is still standing but the next one along on Albert Mill appears to have gone and the single storey sheds beyond the main multi-storey block of Albert Mill have also gone. The two chimneys in the distance were still standing in December 2010.

Bath Mills and albert Mills, Lockwood
Bath Mill is left and Albert right. River Holme in foreground. The tall flats are at Rashcliffe. I used to know this area intimately.

Albert Street, Lockwood
Bath Mill is closest and Albert Mills is the distance. I grew up within 20 yards of my viewpoint here (possibly less). Humphrey Bolton tells me Albert Street is now busy with traffic as vehicles for the Holme Valley are now directed down here. Before it was always Lockwood Road that took the traffic.

Mill tower, Albert Street, Lockwood
From a distance one could be forgiven for mistaking this for a church tower! On closer inspection the thoughts are "Oh no, not Christmas already"! The tower is part of a mill building and has an iron water tank at the top.

Spa Bath
This overview of the Bath Hotel and the Baths in the foreground gives an idea of the layout of the place, hard to imagine though the idyllic scene of the description "Built of polished Ashlar stone in a fine sequested spot, sheltered by a lofty ridge, covered in woods" taken from a directory of 1830 .
