Former home of the Huddersfield Examiner
Huddersfield's local newspaper was produced and printed in this building and you could see and hear the printing press from the road outside and see the large reels of paper being unloaded from lorries. When I was growing up it was just part of the local background and I wish I had paid more attention. The printing was moved to a new site but that too has now closed. Next door is the Albert public house and I once had pie and peas there.
