The 1920 OS map shows this as farmland belonging to Oakington Farm, and the farm is there on the 1935 map with this development of houses. The site of Oakington Farm is now Sherrans Farm Open Space (why the changed name?)

Flowering Tree, Tokyngton Park
This bit of linear parkland along the River Brent is a pleasant recreation ground for local people, and is also there to protect their houses. The park boundaries are designed to turn the park into a flood storage area if the Brent gets too high.
