Bushy verge on Hartland Drive, Edgware
Many of the roads have these in Edgware and Stanmore rather than the usual plain grass.

Old pole with new sign, Wolmer Gardens
The striped pole is in very good condition, and the sign looks like it was only replaced recently although would need to discover for certain whether the previous one was pre-Worboys.

Hartland Drive, Edgware
Before the London boroughs were created in 1965 this was part of Middlesex, and whoever was responsible for the area then planted bush verges in many roads from here to the other side of Stanmore, which is now in a different borough, but these clearly were made as a local feature at the time and include the first palm trees I'd seen on a public road as opposed to someone's garden. There are also quite a few plots of bamboo further down the road which are all immaculately clipped.

The end of Edgwarebury Lane
The road practically ends here, you can get further to the cemetery entrance and the fields beyond, but besides parking there to go for a walk it only becomes like a track and stopped half way along by a gate. It also becomes a private road just past here and the farm personnel appear typically suspicious despite it still being a public footpath.

Vacant lot on Edgwarebury Lane
It's well looked after and private, and separated from both houses each side by walls and fences. I don't know how long it will last before a house or flats are built on it.
