South Harrow: Station Parade, Northolt Road
The distinctive long cream and salmon coloured block of shops and flats is Station Parade, the station in question being Northolt Park. The road is the A312 Northolt Road.

Shops at the junction of Alexandra Avenue and Northolt Road, South Harrow, London
Old maps suggest that until 1920 this was farmed countryside. The Great Central Railway sliced through it. By 1935 a map shows the whole area as residential. The parade of shops along Northolt Road appears as an undeveloped plot but is complete on a map of the 1950s and is seen in Image The view is from a Chiltern Railways train about to pass Northolt Park station; the sign at the entrance can be seen lower right.
