A visit to the railway yard at Stonebridge Park
Engineering works on the normal route meant that the Caledonian Sleeper was diverted to travel to Edinburgh via the East Coast Main Line, rather than the usual route up the West Coast Main Line. The train left Euston as normal, but had to be reversed in the yard at Stonebridge Park in order to access the North London line and thence the East Coast route. This view was taken from the sleeper whilst moving into the yard at slow speed.
