Yates Bar
Yates Bar on the corner of Clarence Parade and Clarence Terrace. This Grade II listed building was built etween 1820 and 1850. The building used to be the home of the Gloucestershire Echo newspaper. https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1386840

Former Salem Chapel
The former Salem Chapel on Clarence Parade in Cheltenham. The chapel was built in 1843-44. Today it is 'Revolution' a bar and restaurant.

John Dower House
John Dower House is a Grade II Listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1104264 and has recently been converted into residential apartments and renamed John Dower House. Originally it was built as a hotel in 1828, its name being Clarence Hotel; it was later converted for use as a court and police station in the 19th Century. In 1973 the building became offices for the government department known as the Countryside Commission. Note the building still retains its royal coat of arms above the entrance porch.

John Dower House, Crescent Place, Cheltenham
An imposing former hotel built c1820. Converted to a police station in 1857 by James Medland. The portico is crowned by the royal coat of arms (in honour of a visit by the future Queen Adelaide in 1827). Grade II listed.

Central Taxi's Office, Royal Well Road
Central Taxis have been in business for over 50 years. The tall clock which has become a local landmark, belongs to Central Taxis and was built around the same time as the office. The clock is maintained by a local firm.
30th June 2022
The Taxi office has recently been demolished, but the clock is still standing. Central Taxis still exist, but they are operating under the name Central Cars. The site is being redeveloped into additional parking space.
