The Patch House near Slimbridge, Gloucestershire
This very splendid looking detached residence, probably Victorian, until recently was used as a thirteen bedroomed retirement home for the elderly. It has now been converted to three apartments. It can be seen at Shepherd's Patch, opposite the excellent Tudor Arms public house not far from the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal.

The Tudor Arms Lodge near Slimbridge, Gloucestershire
This fine public house and hotel is by the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. It serves good quality meals and the real ale is very well kept too. Its on-line reviews are very encouraging! Recommended.
The building dates from the 18th century, and was a licensed beer and cider house for the Irish navigator soldiers who dug the canal by hand. (information taken from http://www.thetudorarms.co.uk/index.html )
