Inn sign, England's Glory, London Road Gloucester
The sign is based on the design of the match box produced by Morelands of Gloucester which depicts HMS Devastation, the first British battleship to have no sails and on-deck turrets.

Peter Scott House, Heathville Road, Gloucester
Heathville Road was a new road developed from 1865 by the local architect, A W Maberly with family houses for more prosperous families. This house was designed by him. Latterly the offices of St John Ambulance, up for sale at the time of my visit.
I have been unable to establish the reason for the name Peter Scott House http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6091102 .
