Date plaque
A plaque dated 1793 and 1974 in the wall of 2 and 4 Kirk Road Image Presumably inserted when alterations were made to the building. The design shows two couples - from the 1790s and 1970s - and a cat!

The nearest building is 8 and 8A Kirk Road. According to the Carmunnock Heritage Trail plaque:
'This 18th century tenement, with its nepus gable is said to rest on 14th century foundations. From early times, detachments of soldiers were sometimes billeted here.
The building, which contained a shop until the 1940s, was refurbished in 1984.'

Clason Hall
The Carmunnock Church Hall. As well as being used by the church for refreshments after church services and other events, the hall is also widely used by the local community. It was originally the Free Church.
