Notices on the gates, Sighthill Cemetery
The 'normal' notice on the right gives information about the cemetery and what you can and can't do in it. The larger banner on the left relates to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. It clearly shows the two metres distancing required by visitors. The banner dates from the early days of the pandemic, as it reads: '...open for exercise and active travel only...' and '...No public gatherings of more than two people at any time'. This rule was relaxed in Scotland from 28th May, when 'meeting up with another household outdoors, in small numbers (max 8), including in gardens, but with physical distancing required' was permitted under Phase 1 of the Scottish Government's routemap out of lockdown. The two metre distancing is still required.
