Approaching Maryhill Locks
The fingerpost marks an important access point onto the towpath walkway, at Burnhouse Street. The stone building dates from 1810 and is the former White House Inn, built specifically to serve the canal, even though it faces onto Maryhill Road. Listed Category C http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB52228 .
