Cockfosters: The 'Cock' Inn
Cockfosters is a very well-heeled district of Greater London, and its only public house, the 'Cock', is a very up-market establishment. As my wife somewhat acidly remarked, you could pay more here for a glass of wine, than the cost of the whole bottle at Waitrose.

Bevan Road, Cockfosters
Housing such as this appeared in the wake of the northward extension of the Piccadilly Line to Cockfosters in 1933. Although the area is actually within the London Borough of Barnet some prefer to describe it as being still in Hertfordshire.
