Aldridge Avenue, Enfield Lock
The houses seen here are just within the gridsquare since the boundary runs up the centre of the roadway. This part of Enfield was once a thriving manufacturing area and from the late nineteenth century until the mid-twentieth a considerable amount of terraced housing was constructed.

The Old Royal Smallarms Factory
The building across the carpark is the converted Royal Small Arms Factory where the famous Lee Enfield Rifle was once made. Named after the Lee Navigation and the Enfield factory, the rifle was used by the British Army in the Boer War and two World Wars.
