Government Buildings in Edinburgh
Edinburgh's cityscape looking towards the Pentland Hills, viewed from the top of the Nelson Monument in the next square. View of the Pentland Hills from the Calton Hill
Taken at the end of the coldest March weather for a hundred years. The view takes in the Cowgate and the University district. The tower of the old High School building in High School yards and the spire of St. Patrick's Church can be seen in the middle distance, left and right respectively. Beyond them stands the white block of the Appleton Tower with the David Hume Tower to the left and the domes of Old College and the McEwan Hall to the right.
