Edinburgh's cityscape looking towards the Pentland Hills, viewed from the top of the Nelson Monument in the next square. The old civil service building, St Andrews House, is in the foreground with new council offices beyond it, on the other side of the railway line. The curved street is Jeffrey Street, which connects the Canongate and Market Street, continuing below the North Bridge on the far right of this shot.
