Shoreditch: Old Street from the Overground
A snatched shot from a moving Overground train; Shoreditch Town Hall to the left. When I lived in the East End in the 1980s, this line (out of the former Broad Street station) had been closed a couple of years before and was already looking dilapidated; its current shiny new state would have seemed a pipedream then.

Looking south. The notice on the wall above the bag of topsoil on the right says "Help yourself to some soil" but I'm not convinced that this is a genuine offer and may be somebody's joke. For a start, you'd need something to take it home in (like a bucket or wheelbarrow) and you'd need to carry it all the way here on the train if you don't live locally!
