Cassland Road, South Hackney
An excellent terrace opposite Cassland Crescent. The road is now one-way eastbound, (towards the camera). The horse-tram terminus was about half way along the terrace, about opposite the present day bus stop.

Cassland Crescent, South Hackney
When these fine houses were built in Victoria's reign, they were right at the top end of the market, and, incredibly, some of them have remained in single-family ownership and avoided being divided into flats. This is a conservation area of the Borough of Hackney, enhanced by the fine plane trees in the Crescent gardens.
