Bethnal Green Road, E2: former Essoldo cinema
Frankle Trimmings, a textile shop, occupies the former Essoldo cinema (previously the Rex): see http://www.eastend-memories.org/cinema/essoldo/essoldo1.htm and http://stories-of-london.org/hold-on-a-minute-didnt-this-used-to-be/ for more details. The current Art Deco façade dates from a 1938 remodelling and is the work of architect George Coles. (Many thanks to Rich Tea http://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/4180 for pointing me at this information.) Attaboy dry cleaners is apparently unchanged since I moved out of Bethnal Green in 1989. Update: the former cinema was demolished in August 2020.
