Tower Bridge House

Tower of London
Tower Bridge Approach is the section of the A100 road on the west side of the Tower of London leading towards Tower Bridge. In the foreground is St Katharine's Way descending towards the abutment tower (i.e. the secondary shore-based ancillary tower) on this northern side of the river. St Katharine Docks is also to be found at the foot of this incline.

PLA Building facing Trinity Square
The Port of London wanted a building to reflect the status of London as a world trading power - and this is it. It was built early in the 20th century but in recent years, as London's dockland activity moved downstream, the PLA sold up and new occupants will be a major hotel chain. Expensive bed and breakfast rates no doubt!

Lamp posts on Tower Bridge Approach
Lining Tower Bridge Approach on podiums attached to the parapet of the road bridge are these regal looking lamp-posts mounted on some appropriately shaped columns. I very much doubt that these are Victorian or Roman - they look to me like modern replicas. View taken looking west-northwest.
