Viewtube on the Greenway, Olympic Park
This building (made of metal container boxes) is a community venue with a difference. It is open 7 days a week, 9am-5pm, with free exhibitions (of the Olympic Park), cafe, bike hire and education.
It is on the Greenway (a footpath/cyclepath) that normally leads between Bow and Beckton.
Until late 2014, a section of the Greenway (beyond the Viewtube) is closed (between Marshgate Lane and Stratford High Street) due to Crossrail building work.

The Viewtube on the Greenway
This viewing tower and cafe facility for observing construction of the 2012 Olympic site was built sometime between my previous visit to the area in May 2009, and Julian Osley's visit in June 2010 Image As a result of its construction the cycle route has been diverted via the railway underpass at Marshgate Lane Image
