Its neighbour on the left is Va Bene, an Italian restaurant, and on the bank's right is Our Plaice, a traditional fish & chip shop, which uses beef dripping for frying.

Philip C Paddock, butcher, 147 Worcester Road
The local butcher. The building looks relatively new.
The other businesses which can be seen in this view are 148, which is occupied by J T Brookes & Co, an independent firm of funeral directors, at 149 is a bridal shop (Barbara Clark), and Lloyds TSB Bank have a branch next door to that at number 151. Number 150 seems to have gone missing. Maybe it is a first floor address.

The King Arthur (2) - sign, 139-141 Worcester Road, Hagley, Worcs
This new public house, opened in September 2017, is named after Arthur Batham as a tribute to his successful efforts in the 1950's to keep the family brewery in operation and in developing the well-known Batham's bitter. King Arthur of Round Table fame is a legendary figure and his historical existence is still a matter of controversy. There are no historical portraits of him so the sign designer has based the sign on a statue of King Alfred the Great at Winchester, Hants. He was King of Wessex and successfully defended his kingdom against Viking invaders.

The King Arthur (1), 139-141 Worcester Road, Hagley, Worcs
This is a brand new public house opened in September 2017 by famous family run Black Country brewers Bathams. It brings their pub total, at the time of writing, to eleven. The building was originally a private residence known as Palladium House and this name is still on the building's front. Later it was used as offices. The opening of this pub means that currently Hagley has three in operation. Next door, on the left, is Flowers of Hagley, a florist and gift shop.

The Station Inn, Hagley
This Marston's pub is not adjacent to the station as its name would imply but it may at one time have been the closest.
