Neptune Health Centre
The reference to Neptune may appear strange being so far from the sea but Tipton was the centre for the manufacturing of anchors and anchor chains.This was the former Neptune Forge site, where between 1851 and 1994, Joseph Wright & Company manufactured chains, anchors, boilers and forgings for world markets.

Headquarters for a famous pugilist
This public house was the HQ for William Perry, known as the Tipton Slasher, who was a famous exponent of bare knuckle fighting in the 19th century. He features on the pub sign and has a statue in the nearby park.
