Takeaway on Kent Street
Unsurprisingly, some years ago this takeaway, situated prominently on the main road from Sedgley to Dudley, was the subject of legal proceedings brought by a well known fast food chain. The challenge to its name was unsuccessful, however, and I believe it was still trading when this photograph was taken (I presume the shutters were down as it had not yet opened for lunch). I cannot recall whether its name is a reference to the owner's name or to the fact that it faces Kent Street, the main thoroughfare through Upper Gornal.
