Old Milestone by the A350, Charlton Marshall
Carved stone post by the A350, in parish of CHARLTON MARSHALL (NORTH DORSET District), junction with 'The Close', on small green against wall, on West side of road. Dorset 3 (limestone), erected by the Blandford & Poole turnpike trust in the 19th century.

Charlton Marshall: postbox № DT11 5
This small postbox is emptied at 4pm on weekdays and at 10am on Saturdays. Charlton Marshall post office was revived in 1994 when it was housed in the parish rooms, the building in the background. It closed, however, in October 2008, one of 2,500 offices across the UK to face the axe this year.
