This small postbox is emptied at 4pm on weekdays and at 10am on Saturdays. Charlton Marshall post office was revived in 1994 when it was housed in the parish rooms, the building in the background. It closed, however, in October 2008, one of 2,500 offices across the UK to face the axe this year.
