Statue to John Wesley, Epworth
For a man who founded a church with over 80 million members (http://worldmethodistcouncil.org/about/member-churches/ ), one might have expected a more elaborate memorial at the place of his birth and early ministry. But perhaps this is in keeping with the simplicity of his ideas.

Situated in Albion Hill DN9 1HD, this statue shows John Wesley holding a bible in his left hand. The plaque on the plinth has the following wording:
