Neighbourhood Officer Details
The Neighbourhood Inspector has overall responsibility for the entire neighbourhood policing team of Sergeants, Police Constables, PCSOs and police staff.
They are responsible for delivering on neighbourhood policing strategies, directing the deployment of the team and developing relationships with partners and key stakeholders to enable the neighbourhood policing team to work effectively.
Inspector Stoyles is the NPT commander for Scunthorpe South and Rural Neighbourhood Team and the Southbank Rural Task Force.
Insp Stoyles joined Humberside Police in 2023, prior to this he has worked in West, North and South Yorkshire Police in a number of roles including Firearms, Public Order and Response policing.
The Insp is a Public Order Commander working with local and national partners at community and sporting events and is an Inspector within Humberside’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Responder Unit.
He became the NPT inspector for Scunthorpe South and Rural in January 2025.
The inspector has lead responsibility for Rural Crime in North and Northeast Lincolnshire and the delivery of the Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee across the 4 towns of Brigg, Ashby, Epworth and Barton.
The team are dedicated to providing a dedicated service to the communities. Bringing offenders to justice and protecting those most vulnerable in our communities.

| 7 Dec 2025 | Operation Galileo / Poaching Offences Response (7 Dec 2025)We have been working with our partners and working alongside the Rural Task Force and the local farm watch group and building our intelligence on relevant vehicles and persons. We coordinate our response to poaching / wildlife related crimes through live time intelligence from farm watch group. Your local PCSO's have been making contact with all Farms, obtaining contact details and signing up for My Community Alert. Regular High Visibility mobile patrols and foot patrols are conducted regularly in your area. Your Neighbourhood Policing Team are based at Epworth Police Station. |

| 3 Aug 2026 | Speeding and traffic matters have been raised to the team as a concern for the residents of Axholme Central. This includes parking concerns in Belton and the town centre of Epworth and speeding ward wide. Response (3 Aug 2026)The team has worked with North Lincolnshire Councils civil enforcement team to monitor any parking infringements or obstructions in Epworth and will be working in partnership with North Lincolnshire Councils highways team, Safer Neighbourhoods, Humberside Polices traffic and casualty reduction team, the designing out crime officer and the local elected members for Axholme Central to seek a solution for the Belton parking concern. |
